New General Winaico Solar modules: slim, powerful and ultra-black

The WST-BDX54-B2 solar modules of Winaico WBC series should be available in Australia shortly. We know the following.

The WST-475BDX54-B2 (475 watts) and WST-480BDX54-B2 (480 watts) have a return contact cell technology, which means that all electrical contacts are on the back of the cell. There are no grid lines in front of the front on the plate that maximized the area for the harvest of sunlight and also looks pretty smick.

In addition, these solar collectors are glass glass (front and back) and bifacial and offer up to 20% earnings reinforcement1 under ideal conditions by capturing reflected light on the back of the plate.

At 2.041 m2, the WST-BDX is only about what we would normally consider for a solar panel on the roof (maximum 2m2), and combined with the weight, some installers are rightly moaning. Apart from that, there is a lot to like on these panels based on the information from Winaico. For example, the deep reduction means that the performance of heat is not as strongly influenced as some panels from popular brands.

I have no details of the recommended retail prices, but you can see here in the indicative prices for highly efficient solar collectors in terms of high -quality brands that are currently available in Australia.

Blair Pester, Managing Director of Winaico Australia Pty LTD, says that the Clean Energy Council (CEC) list is “good underway” and that local availability is expected by the end of September. The approval of the Clean Energy Council is required for the authorization of the national solar rabbit and, in most cases, the approval of the network connection is required. The modules are also tested by Structural Engineering Consultants Australia (SECA) for the suitability in cyclonic regions.

First, the 475-watt BDX WBC Solar Panel in Australia (and New Zealand) will be available.

More about Winaico

Winaico has its headquarters in Taiwan, but nowadays mainly in China in China, was founded in 2008 and joined the Australian solar market in 2012. The company has an office in Sydney.

As far as I know, selected products (including the WST-BDX54-B2 WBC panels), as far as I know, are two years of free system insurance. This not only covers the panels, but also extends to critical system components such as inverters and certain batteries. In the first two years, it covers losses due to material damage, interruptions or reduced yields – therefore each price bonus offers additional security. The guideline can be extended to a total of five years for additional costs.

The Winaico Solar Panel reviews of solar quotas from Australian customers have achieved an average of 4.8 stars from 228 reviews and 4.9 stars (23 reviews) in the past 12 months. Winaico is currently in the recommended solar panel brand charts from Solarquotes.

If you are looking for powerful solar modules on the roof, but with a smaller footprint, among other options, the Neostar 480W from Aiko. Published at the beginning of this year, the Neostar 480W 1757 x 1134 mm and a slimmer 21.5 kg. But it is a monofacial panel, so there is no additional thrust through reflected light. However, being smaller can mean that more panels can be installed on a roof.

Footnot

  1. This Australian study corresponds to Bifaciality in general and the increased claim of Winaico; Recognizing reflection assets on the roof has the greatest influence on the bifacial earnings potential.
