Best solar inverter 2025: First place – Fronius
A Fronius Gen24 inverter that was installed by MC Electrical
Surprisingly, nobody surprisingly has with 26% of the voices that the Austrian manufacturer of high-end-ending manufacturers Fronius won Gold for his 5th year in a row.
Their call in Australia borders on legendary and known for well -supported, reliable products.
The Gen24 series is Fronius’ current residential inverter with a huge central fan and a radiator to keep it cool. Almost all of Fronius’ competitors avoid fans and only rely on a radiator. SungRow has made it on the podium every year since we started these awards in 2021. This year they took silver with 19% of the votes.
You have the call to be a reliable brand in the middle area with a rocky battery pairing.

On the Solarquotes website, SungRow inverter has an average customer review point of 4.7/5, which is based on over 4,000 reviews.

Best solar inverter 2025: third place – Goodwe
A Goodwe DNS inverter that was installed in series Electrical and Solar
Goodwe takes bronze with 14% of the vote and makes reliable budget inverter. You have the call to simply install and are a favorite for many installers.
Since Goodwe units are thousands of dollars cheaper than premium brands such as Fronius, many installers and customers choose them. At the end of this article I will quantify the price difference between all winners.

Best solar inverter 2025: Special mention – Sigenergy
The upper module with the logo is the Sigenergie hybrid inverter module. The two modules below are batteries. Installed by Energy Solution Center.
Although it lost two voices of bronze in Goodwe, Sigenergy deserves a mention as an emerging brand that broke into the Australian solar scene in 2024.
It is the early days, but installers like how easy it is to install Sigenergie units with an excellent app and commission that is strongly influenced by Teslas app (and this is a good thing).
They sit between Sungrow and Premium-End-Fronius industry.

What do you cost?
The pricing at the inverter level can be seen on my standard inverter and hybrid inverter comparison table.
To use an example-hier is the pricing for a 10 kw-e-phase inverter:
- Fronio Gen24 10.0 First: $ 3,700
- SungRow SG10RS: $ 2,300
- Goodwe GW10K-MS-30: $ 1,300
- SIENGY 6.0 kW (you don’t make 10 kW in phase): USD 1,800
With the Goodwe budget, you save over $ 2,000 compared to the premium end-fronius.
