Cheap solar ads: pay attention to the spin
We have all seen the advertisements on TV with used cricket players who export cheap solars, but have they considered who hiring whom?
Is it the retailer who uses the credibility of respected personalities? Or do only have washed sports stars on TV after retirement?
You get what you pay for. People who buy cheap always buy twice. There is no free lunch or a free stream.
For years, solar quotes have preached long and loud about how expensive cheap solar really is.
To be honest, I always found it a bit worrying that people are so ready that they actively measure themselves against getting the cheapest option when they have screwed something with their most expensive capital.
Nobody seems to worry about what the capital return is on your couch, and still obsesses Roi for solar without obvious value for risks or the improved real value of your home.
The worst case is a fire. Before this company went bankrupt, there used to be an industry rule: Zever = never.
No name equipment does not attract names installations
I have seen it again and again when cheap equipment was put into a house and the compliance certificates are not presented on the day of the installation, since the people they sign were never on the premises.
It does not happen so often these days, since STC incentives (the discount) are used with an app that forces the installers to record geotagged selfies at the beginning, in the middle and the finish of the job. Plus pictures of serial numbers, switches and the front of the house.
However, it is that cheap devices attract cheap devices with low -paid contractors and low installation standards.

Cheap systems are delivered without support
If you are looking at the review pages on solar quotes, ask you to sort the one-star feedback.
While every retailer has some brilliant 5-star installations, I am always a little suspicious of perfect records. It is not credible because there are always some catastrophic or accidental damage to somewhere, not to mention the occasional crazy customer who simply cannot be delighted.
Hopefully they are only a few, but justified or not how retailers deal with angry customers, what the cheap garbage companies from those we recommend have the way to do.
Note that some one-star ratings earn and then manage to impress customers to remove them.
If you can get through with allegedly short -lasting, unfortunately you will do it, but this case will be worse …
Some companies are ideologically welded with the cult of affordable prices.
Cheap companies do not answer the phone
Regardless of whether you recognize it or not, a medium-sized solar company probably gives $ 100,000 a year for guarantee problems, calls, problem solving and time of the staff to answer questions, even if it is about the phone.
The cheap companies do not answer the phone at all. They hide, they lie, they do not pay subcontractors who are not right enough. If you bring you to court, it will probably cost you even more time and effort than just paying someone else.
And the ridiculous part is that one of the country’s largest solar traders threatened to suspend after they had been brought into the dishes because of violations of their electrol license and STC incentive system that they would have to continue to be traded because there were no warranty obligations.

I can hear the baby birds in this nest from line: “Cheep Cheeeeep”. There is also a battery on the site for a good measure.
Someone tried to do it right, but what an ugly mess is it in the end. If there is no budget for cable connections or alternating current cables to remove the switching board, it becomes a small house in a new house.
Check the ratings, but pay attention to counterfeits
Check the reviews – real. And be careful of the polished profiles: some of the worst offenders hide the bodies.
The best advice I have is to check all online feedback and to take into account that large companies may be able to play the system with a large number of fake reviews.
The industry can be hostile to those who find out that they have not received a bargain.
In solar quotes, all ratings we host are laid out by a person before they are uploaded to examine fake reviews, and the reviewers are verified by telephone when we doubted the submission.
While there are many great installers who do not use our service and carry out excellent companies, there are others who go through our review process and accept 1 lead per month, simply because they see our confirmation as more weight.
While some installers have a blue badge for the display that does not offer additional consumer protection, customers who use solar quotas receive a guarantee of third-party providers. We put our own skin in the game to ensure that your installation is going well or we pay to repair it.
Further information on the high costs for cheap solar systems can be found in our guidelines about the strategies that are shared by solar companies.
