GameChange Solar, Workrise partnership with free couses for renewable coaching
GameChange Solar, a manufacturer of solar shelving systems, has partnered with Workrise, a provider of workforce management solutions, to provide free, hands-on training for students interested in joining the growing renewable energy industry.
The free two-day training course is offered by Lone Star College. The courses take place both online and in person. Students learn the basics of installing utility-scale solar shelving and modular devices and earn OSHA 10 certification. As part of the curriculum, students specifically learn the GameChange Solar Genius Tracker System.
"We are very excited to be part of the Lone Star College solar installation course with Workrise," said Max Johnson, director of business development at GameChange Solar. “The program will be very beneficial as the US continues to move from oil and gas to renewables. Solar projects and construction work continue to grow, so it is important that we have a skilled workforce. "
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to build, assemble, and maintain commercial solar systems in the solar industry. The weekly course has started and will continue throughout the spring.
